If you have finally made up your mind to get a paid web hosting but not sure which web hosting is the best selection for your needs (besides the one, BlueHost, that I have recommended) since there are so many available on the internet, you should then spend some times doing a research on some of the web hosting services and find out how much they really worth.
You have to keep this in mind that all web hosting companies want your business and your money. You do not want to settle your choice by just reading what the web hostings have offered on their website because they will definitely make an emphasis on how good they are, how wonderful their deals are, how fantastic their services are and things like that. However, in reality, these web hosting companies may probably have a whole bunch of unhappy customers who wish they had never heard of the web hosting or their alluring sales pitch before signing up with them. I have come across a few websites whose owners were complaining about a certain web hosting company (pardon me, I’m not going to disclose which company it is over here) which is very hostile and rude to the customer who had made a complaint to them. This problematic web hosting company really got an attitude because they had threatened and even called the customer an idiot in their replying email! Would you patronize them if you knew about their annoying customer support?
I would suggest that you go to the Web Hosting Talk forums and read up on all the different web hostings to find some recommendations and reviews written by real people who have experienced both the good and the bad from a variety of web hostings. Of course, nobody is perfect in real life so do the web hosting companies and you have to keep this in mind that you may not find a web hosting with a spotless reputation. A guideline is to see whether a particular web hosting is having more negative feedback than the majority. If yes, this may be an indicator for you to stay far away from choosing this web hosting for your own good.
Another way to do a research on web hosting companies is to read the forum on WordPress.org to find opinions from others who have paid for their WordPress blogs hosting. Just type in a few keywords such as “recommended hosting” or “good web hosting” to do the searching. You may register with the forum and start asking questions which you may have in mind. This is a way to find out what the web hosting users think about any particular web hosting service. Don’t worry, people online are generally very helpful in making recommendations for some good alternatives as well as those who may feel differently by posting a rebuttal concerning their own experiences with a specific web hosting. I bet online forum people would not be as uncivilized as that problematic web hosting company to respond by calling people an idiot, right? Have a happy web hosting research!
